Another Day of Paleo Eating.

Adam and I woke up early and I had a light breakfast of a green apple and almond butter. Good thing too, because that morning I took my first ever Barry’s Bootcamp class. If I had eaten anything heavier I’m pretty sure I would have thrown up. It’s an hour workout class that combines cardiovascular interval training on a treadmill and 25-30 minutes of strength training. We went on chest, back and abs day. It was a lot of fun. It showed me my running needs some work. If the treadmill got up to the 30 second sprint time they recommended, I felt like I was going to fall off. After a while I kept it on a fast jogging pace. I could either pull back and do what I can or go too hard the first 10 minutes and have to stop. I kept it slow and steady. I’m running a half marathon at the end of March, I got to get my butt outside and start pounding the pavement if I’m going to do this.
After class, Adam treated me to a chia protein shake at their juice bar. The guy behind the bar promised me there was no added sugar in the almond milk, protein powder, or chia. But I took a sip and it tasted REALLY sweet to me. It did have banana in it, but I didn’t think banana could sweeten something so much! It was a bit overwhelming to my gut and taste buds so I only drank half of it.
After that we hopped on the Tube and headed to our friend Megan’s house. Being an awesome friend, Megan made us a lunch that considered all of Adam and my dietary restrictions. We had a sweet potato and spinach frittata, Paleo coleslaw, and ratatouille vegetables! It was delicious. We hung out and caught up talking all things, New York, London, and Yoga. At about 5:30 I headed out saying goodbye to Adam and Megan. Adam’s crashing at Megan’s for the rest of his stay.
Once I got home for dinner I had the rest of the Turkey Meat Loaf, some more ratatouille I picked up at Whole Foods, and Savory Cauliflower Rice out of The PPC. The Cauliflower Rice is AMAZING! It’s seasoned with coconut amino, garlic, and ginger so it actually tastes like rice to me. For desert I had two left over plantain pancakes.
I crawled into bed early 11:30pm and was fast asleep. I all I have to do tomorrow is catch up on admin and go to Crossfit so I turned off the alarm to let myself sleep in.
