It's just Rowing.
After my mini break-down on Monday I didn't know what to expect on Tuesday. We aren't told the workouts ahead of time. I looked at the Crossfit Blackfiars WOD board: 10KM row for time. 50 minute cap. We were to break it between three people and take turns doing 200 meters at a time till we finished. That was it.
Quite a few people seemed overwhelmed by the task but I welcomed it. My back was a bit sore from deadlifts the previous day and I still felt fatigued, but I can sit on a machine and row for for two miles. It is an energetic task but it's something I can simplify easily in my mind. I don't have to worry about bar path, if my form goes to shit for a few reps I'll still get the job done. At the end of the day it's just pulling a chord repeatedly. And that's about all I had space in my head for.
So Tuesday was delightfully tiring and simple. I worked with Daniel and Kevin who is an awesome athlete and Crossfit coach. We completed the task in 39 minutes and 23 seconds. It was fun working together. I was able to get some candid shots of Kevin and I rowing. As you can see below; one of us is in peak shape and makes rowing look awesome, and the other is me.
